Our staff have a 20 year average length in continuous employment with the firm and we are looking to grow our team with the addition of a full time, skilled and reliable Paralegal.

We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting estate planning documents, be empathetic and capable of offering the highest level of service to our clientele. Professionalism and teamwork are prized, so the best candidate works well with attorneys, co-workers, clients and their allied advisors, such as accountants and financial planners. As an integral part of our firm, you will work closely with attorneys and clients to facilitate the estate planning process, manage legal documents, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Assist attorneys by drafting letters, memos and related documents.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation, such as financial records, property deeds, and beneficiary information.
  • Manage client communication and provide updates on the status of their estate planning matters.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members to provide exceptional client service and support.
  • Coordinate appointments with clients and attorneys.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
  • Extensive client interaction.
  • Other duties as assigned by management/stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of solid trust & estate paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software programs.
  • Highly proactive with attention to detail, dependable, and extremely organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines effectively and problem solve.
  • Superb proofreading skills and clear and concise communication skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ethical obligations in handling sensitive client information.
