Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings with strengths in plumbing and electrical.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify and address maintenance issues
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Assist with the preparation of vacant units for new tenants, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the property manager or supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems and repairs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

 

Working Conditions: The Apartment Maintenance Technician will work primarily indoors and outdoors, and will be exposed to various weather conditions. The position may require working on weekends and holidays, and may involve on-call duties.

Physical Requirements: The Apartment Maintenance Technician must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. The position may require standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time.
