Equestrian Boarding Facility Assistant Manager/Office Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator for our boarding stable. The position requires the applicant to oversee the daily administrative duties of a 100-horse stable. You will handle a variety of responsibilities which will include working with boarder's, overseeing staff and monitoring the condition, maintenance and upkeep of the horses under our care.

The ideal candidate must have experience in horse care, strong people skills and the ability to problem solve while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • · Oversee daily organization and maintenance of the barns, ensuring a safe environment for animals and staff.
  • · Primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
  • · Advertise and market the stable to new clients.
  • · Respond to inquiries from prospective boarders.
  • · Maintain records and schedules for Vet & Shoer appointments.
  • · Ensure all inventory is ordered and delivered and tracked.
  • · Manage staff scheduling, hours and timesheets.
  • · Additional duties to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Education & Experience

  • · Proven experience in an equine-related role.
  • · Experience in inventory control and supplier relationship management.
  • · Previous supervisory experience.
  • · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet the needs of equine owners.
  • · Proficiency in using computer systems to track barn activities.
  • · Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork abilities.
  • · A valid driver's license is required.
  • · Dependable, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
